Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by a Beyond Native Africa Safaris representative and transferred to Moivaro Lodge at the foot of Mt Meru. The day is yours to spend at leisure or visit a local village.- Overnight: Moivaro Lodge (Breakfast)
Day 2 & 3: The Alkaline Plains of Lake Natron
After breakfast, the tour departs for the spectacular Lake Natron Basin in the Gregory Rift. This highly alkaline lake is the only breeding site for 2 million Lesser Flamingos. Spend the next day exploring this unique landscape, visiting hot springs, trekking to the Engaresero River, and engaging with the local Maasai community through a boma visit, medicine walk, and traditional ceremonies, ending with a glorious sundowner.- Overnight: Lake Natron Tented Camp (Full Board)
Day 4, 5 & 6: The Great Serengeti
Depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, passing the active volcano of Ol Donyo Lengai. Your base for three nights is Ikoma Tented Camp. The next days are spent on game drives, including a full day exploring the predator-rich Seronera River Valley.- Overnight: Ikoma Tented Camp (Full Board)
Day 7: Ngorongoro Highlands & Olduvai Gorge
The tour departs after a relaxed breakfast for the Olduvai Gorge Museum, celebrating the discovery of early hominid footprints. Afterwards, ascend to the spectacular Ngorongoro Highlands for the night.- Overnight: Crater Forest Tented Camp (Full Board)
Day 8 & 9: Ngorongoro Crater & Lake Manyara
On Day 8, depart for a half-day tour of the Ngorongoro Crater floor before continuing to Lake Manyara. Spend Day 9 exploring Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions and diverse habitats. In the afternoon, enjoy an authentic cultural experience in a neighboring village.- Overnight: Migunga Tented Camp (Full Board)
Day 10 & 11: Tarangire National Park
Journey to Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for lunch. Spend the next two days exploring this park, renowned for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. You will also have the opportunity to visit a local community project.- Overnight: Whistling Thorn Tented Camp (Full Board)
Day 12: Departure
After a relaxed breakfast, depart for Arusha and transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your outbound departure.
